Since january 1st, 1999, the sports acrobatics is governed by a technical commission within the international gymnastics federation.
1999 - 2000
The first sports acrobatics commission of the F.I.G.was elected by the end of october 1998 during the last I.F.S.A. Congress for a period starting from january 1999 up to december 2000. This commission was composed of :

During the same period, Stoil Sotirov (BUL), ex-president of I.F.S.A. and Yuri Stepchenko, president of the technical commission, represented sports acrobatics in the FIG Executive Committee; the first one with voting right, the second one with an advisory capcity.
2001 - 2004
All committees for the 2001-2004 olympic cycle were elected at the 73rd F.I.G. Congress held in Marrakesh from November 12th to 15th, 2000. The sports acrobatics commission for this cycle was composed of:

During the 75th F.I.G. Congress held in Antalya (TUR) from October 21th to 23rd, 2004, were held the elections to renew all the FIG committees. As a result of these elections, the 2005-2008 Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee is composed of:

During the 77th F.I.G. Congress held in Helsinki (FIN) from October 17th to 19rd, 2008, were held the elections to renew all the FIG committees. As a result of these elections, the 2009-2012 Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee was composed of:

During the 79th F.I.G. Congress held in Cancun (MEX) on October 25th-27ht, 2012, were held the elections to renew all the FIG committees. As a result of these elections, the 2013-2016 Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee was composed of:

The elections of the 2017-2020 FIG Authorities were held during the 81st F.I.G. Congress in Tokyo (JPN) on October
18th-20th, 2016.
Ms Rosy Taeymans ran unopposed for the ACRO TC Presidency and there were 6 candidates for the 6 member positions available. All were elected and the 2017-2020

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2020 Electoral Congress was postponed by one year and the TC remained unchanged in 2021.
2022 - 2024
Delegates representing 130 national federations took part in the 83rd Congress held in Antalya (TUR) in Novembre 5-7, 2021. Among other FIG authorities, the delegates elected the 2022-24 Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee.

The elections of the F.I.G. authorities for the 2025-28 Olympic cycle were held on Octobre 25, 2024, during the second day of the 85th Congress in Doha, Qatar.
Ms Rosy Taeymans had reached the term limit and Ms Nikolina Hristova was elected as the New TC President.
Several TC members had also reached their term limit and only 4 candidates were on the ballot. All 4 were elected during the Congress.
During its first meeting of 2025, the F.I.G. Executive Committee appointed the last 2 members of the Acrobatics TC.
The 2025-2028 F.I.G. Acrobatics Technical Committee is as follow:
